Just goes to show that our strongest memories can be years-long or just a vignette of five minutes. This was such a clear and comical scene to me, Sharon. I would read a full book of these quick, delightful impressions from childhood. Hmmm.... now...who do I know that could write that book...?
Poor Grandma. She was being fashionable . Little did she know this would be a story for the ages ! Lol
She was very fashionable....she wore a feather boa that scared my brother so much, he developed a terror of feathers. No kidding. lol
This is IDENTICAL to my mother's stole. Yes, real, yes, yucky, yes, WHAT they had!!
Bingo, Jill! It is what they had in those days. And ew. Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the little flashback!
What a fun little scene! I can’t imagine wearing one of those, but it was definitely a stylish thing in the 1920s. Great memory!
Thank you, Terry! It was a little out of place in 1967, but she was stylin', in her mind. lol

I do have a book's worth! Thanks for the idea, Sharron, and thank you for your encouragement, since I have been writing on Substack.
