That is the anthem of many of us, growing up with the mixed message of parents doing their best to cope with their own abilities falling short of others' expectations. A powerful poem. Thank you.

Thanks, Sue! Our parents, coming out of a depression, and the trauma of WWII..marrying and having large families, right off the bat. And trying to teach good values , in a world that was quickly losing theirs. All while dealing with their own mental collateral damage. Well, it was a bit much for 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚! ❤️‍🩹
