Fog bank paints the edge of the world, draping the cliff houses.
Sea birds swing in and out of the opaque wall, mist and solid,
The scene disappears beyond my eyes.
Beach dwellers, with their bodies slathered in Sea and Ski tanning lotion, have absorbed the warmth of the sun, before gathering protesting children, barking dogs and waxed surfboards. They dodge the traffic on foot and on wheels.
The ocean waves goodbye to summer vacation, with its sun worshippers and sandcastle architects .
The last family pulls away from the coveted parking spot.
Now the beach is wrapped in the sharp cold of autumn, and the fog carries a bite.
The locals return for the sunset, with driftwood, matches and coolers full of beer.
Sticks are gathered for the roasting of hot dogs and marshmallows.
Sitting around the fire, their eyes burning from the smoke.
The pounding of the surf swallows up the sounds of music and hearty laughter. And in the wee hours of dawn, is the background serenade for lovers wrestling passionately in their sleeping bags.
Enjoyed. Thanks🙏
Lovely!!
