Such evocative lines here, Sharon. You have taken me back to the beach of my youth and set me down in the sand. I especially love these distinct images that separate the day-trippers from us locals:
"The ocean waves goodbye to summer vacation, with its sun worshipers and sandcastle architects." "...the coveted parking spot" "Now the beach is wrapped in the sharp cold of autumn, and the fog carries a bite....the locals return for the sunset". As for wrestling around in sleeping bags... I will just keep my comment to myself...
Enjoyed. Thanks🙏
Thanks, Yael!
Lovely!!
Aren't we just the lucky ones ? Thanks for the memories. Loved it
Thanks, Sonnie! We sure are!!

Thank you, Sharron! We were fortunate to have grown up in a beach town. I still love it!
Love it and the picture of my beloved cement ship.
Thanks, Carol! Yes, the cement ship is just a ghost of itself, now, but it was beautiful in its day.
So beautiful Sharon! 🙏🥰
Thank you, Sue! It's still a beautiful little town, albeit not as little as when we were growing up.
Yes it is. Can’t wait to be there and see everyone this fall!
We can't wait to see you, as well! Wouldn't it be fun to get together for a bonfire on the beach? (minus the wrestling in the sleeping bags...ha ha)
Hey! Hold it a minute. That's the part I was looking forward to!
Ha ha! I hate to admit it, Sharron, but I believe my wrestling days 𝙈𝘼𝙔 be over.
Thank you, Christina! Im glad you enjoyed it~ Capitola is a great little town, as you know. And one that holds a lifetime of memories, for me.
