Winter sun
Hazy and illusive
Teases our yard with light
Then slips behind a gray cloud
Speaking to me
I am only here a bit longer
Till the chilly mornings
Melt into dark rain
The tears on your cheeks
Matching the drops of rain
Sliding in streams down your window
Your face
And merging into an ocean of despair
And then I will come to lift you
Back into the world
You, like a child
My light on your face
Soaking into your body
Your whole being
Filling your heart with anticipation
For the days to come
"... merging into an ocean of despair
And then I will come to lift you
Back into the world..."
Ah yes... round and round and round she goes. Everything is temporary - both pain and joy... Such an inspiring reminder, Sharon.
Oh gosh, this is lovely!
