God scribbles the clouds in the sunset
Fire reaching across the sky
Warming my grateful spirit
The fire slides back into the black horizon
I notice the road before me
Stretching into heaven’s hearth
Now it is just a bright stream of liquid headlights
Lighting my path
Tye-dyed edge of the world
Blue into black, into white into orange
Descending down into the black gorge of the hills
And climbing up each side of my racing car
The wind, winding around my windows
Pushing me toward one large monolith of a mountain
Absolutely beautiful Sharon ❤️
"Stretching into heaven's hearth..." "Tie-dyed edge of the world. Blue into black into white into orange." Wow! Lovely metaphors. Super!
